Flood Insurance & Protection Information
The City of Rahway is a participant in a federally subsidized program that enables property owners to purchase flood insurance. The National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), requires that the City adopt specific flood damage reduction education, planning and building criteria.

Leaf Collection
Leaf Collection begins in November and continues through December. Leaves placed in paper bags will be collected while crews are working in your neighborhood or call 732-827-2061 to schedule a collection.

Sewer Issues
If you have a sewer issue, we can check the sanitary main in front of your home to make sure it is not a municipal issue. Please call 732-827-2060 and we will have someone respond as quickly as possible.

Snow Emergency Information
When a significant snowfall is expected, the City of Rahway Department of Public Works is asking everyone for their cooperation.

Stormwater Management Information
The cleaning and maintenance of storm sewer systems within municipally owned roadways and properties in the City is conducted by the Department of Public Works. Cleaning and maintenance is conducted in accordance with a Tier A Municipal Stormwater Permit that was issued to the City of Rahway by the State of New Jersey in accordance with the Municipal Stormwater Regulation Program.

Street Sweeping
Street sweeping is done once per week from March through October.
